The hours after the city closes
Amsterdam keeps a shorter night than its reputation suggests. By two the kitchens have closed, the bars around the squares are sweeping up, and the canals belong to cyclists going home. It is precisely in that stretch that a certain kind of guest is still awake: the one whose body runs on another continent's clock, the one who came back from a long dinner too restless for sleep, the one who simply prefers the city once it has gone silent. Nuru suits those hours better than anything else we offer. It is slow, warm and wordless, it asks nothing of your attention, and it ends in a hot shower and a bed you do not have to leave. A session that begins at half past two tends to finish in the deepest sleep of the whole trip.
