Ask Claire for an hour and you get a very good one; ask for three and you see why people do. A silence that is working, she leaves well alone.
Two hours is her natural length, and three is not a stretch. Hotel rooms near the water are her usual ground, and her manner in them is neither brisk nor apologetic: she comes in, takes off her coat, and the room adjusts to her rather than the other way round. Her hands are broad for her size and she uses the heel of them a great deal, letting the warm gel do what it is for. Three languages, all spoken well and spent sparingly, and she is one of the very few who genuinely sleeps when the booking runs all night.
Claire decides which bookings she takes and may decline any of them; she sets the limits for what a session includes, says what they are, and may end a visit at any point, as the terms set out.
She works to your hotel room, residence or short-stay apartment anywhere in central Amsterdam, and to the Schiphol airport hotels by arrangement. Forty to sixty minutes in the centre, at any hour of the day or night.
