Directness is her habit: she asks the awkward questions early so that nothing has to be negotiated later, which in a quiet flat near the Vondelpark saves everybody a good deal of guessing. On the mat she is slow and methodical, heavy through the heel of the hand, and she keeps the gel warm by the simple method of keeping the bottle against her own skin.
