Plain speaking comes naturally to her; she says exactly what she means and finds most of the mystique around this work faintly funny. She warms the gel between her palms before anything touches you, and the first long pass is slower than people expect, because she is establishing the weight she means to keep. Ninety minutes suits her better than sixty, and most of her nights are spent in canal-house apartments and the hotels along the water. Conversation before and after if you want it; silence does just as well and costs her nothing.
