She does not perform warmth; what she does instead is pay extremely close attention, which turns out to be the more valuable of the two. Her hour is unusually well structured: a long warm opening, a middle nobody is allowed to hurry, and time kept back for a shower and a quiet word that most people skip, the glide slick and weighted from the shoulder throughout. All three of her languages are fluent and she is direct in each of them, sometimes startlingly so. Her flat is two streets from a market that has been swept clean by the time her night begins.

Victoria decides which bookings she takes and may decline any of them; she sets the limits for what a session includes, says what they are, and may end a visit at any point, as the terms set out.
